Wadsworth Blvd, Suite 325 COMP is an Occupational Medicine and Physical Medicine Practice that services a wide variety of employers and physicians in the community. We are looking for a dynamic, self-driven and dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to support our Physical Therapist and team of Physicians, Occupational Therapists, Massage Therapist and Chiropractors in our growing medical practice. COMP treats a wide variety of orthopedic, post-surgical, and neurologic injuries in a multidisciplinary setting with a close relationship with our referring physicians. Our clinic provides care for a workers compensation population, providing treadmill testing, work conditioning, work hardening programs, and pre-employment testing. Duties Assist physical therapists in evaluating patient needs and implementing treatment plans tailored to individual conditions. Provide hands-on therapy interventions such as trigger point therapy, therapeutic exercises, and manual therapy techniques. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately in accordance with clinical protocols. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for post-treatment activities and home exercises. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment adhering to infection control standards. Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care across inpatient, outpatient, home health, or skilled nursing settings. Stay current with advancements in physiotherapy practices and participate in ongoing professional development. Qualifications Valid certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Experience working in outpatient clinics is highly preferred. Knowledge of physiotherapy techniques with strong manual skills. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and various specialties such as orthopedics. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse populations. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments. Commitment to maintaining professional standards and ongoing education in physiotherapy practices.
