Job Description

Tulip Therapy, LLC, is a small pediatric physical therapy practice, specializing in both school-based and outpatient therapy services in our main office (located in Glastonbury CT). We are seeking a licensed physical therapist assistant to help support our work in a school in eastern
CT, 1-1.5
days per week starting in late August. If desired, there may be the potential for more hours in our office or for in-home pediatric PT care. Seeking a dependable, creative candidate who enjoys working with children ages from birth through age 16. This position is currently available for a range of 8-12 hours per week. Days are flexible (we will set a schedule based on your availability). New to pediatrics? That's ok- mentoring is available, and we will provide you with a robust assortment of quality continuing education to help facilitate your transition to pediatric therapy. Responsibilities Implement plan of care and interventions in a technically competent manner Instruct clients/families in exercises and activities to promote their function Exhibit compassion, caring, and empathy to individual differences Apply the latest research related to pediatric practice Complete documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy services Perform selected data collection and obtain accurate information Adhere to ethical and legal standards Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge Must be reliable, and have a reliable vehicle for transportation Skills Proven working experience as physical therapist assistant •also willing to work with newly graduated clinicians, or clinicians less experienced in pediatrics, with good references• Excellent knowledge of physiology best practices and standards Hands on experience with therapeutic exercises Ability to communicate and instruct effectively Strong documentation skills Licence to practice as a PTA in
