The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy practices, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care across diverse settings. As a PTA, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist in patient rehabilitation, and promote optimal recovery outcomes. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient well-being in inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility environments. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Deliver therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to facilitate pain relief and functional improvement. Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatment, and communicate updates to supervising therapists. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings through education and exercise instruction. Provide patient care in various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health visits. Maintain accurate records of treatments administered and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and enhance the overall quality of care provided. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state or regional regulations. Proven experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques relevant to diverse patient populations. Proficiency in specialized therapies such as trigger point therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation. Familiarity with care planning processes for acute care, geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, and outpatient services. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients on exercises and discharge instructions effectively. Ability to adapt treatment approaches based on individual patient needs while adhering to established protocols.
