Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant - I, where your passion for patient care and rehabilitation will make a meaningful difference. In this role, you will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality therapeutic services across diverse settings, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and specialized care areas such as orthopedics, geriatrics, and pediatrics. Your energy and dedication will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and achieve their rehabilitation goals through personalized treatment plans. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs across various care settings. Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for therapy sessions. Support patients during therapy exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety at all times. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatments accurately in medical records. Perform specialized techniques such as trigger point therapy under supervision to alleviate pain and improve mobility. Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility aids, and discharge plans to promote continued recovery at home or in outpatient settings. Participate in discharge planning by coordinating with healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions between care environments. Requirements Proven experience working in inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy principles. Hands-on experience with a variety of therapeutic techniques including trigger point therapy and other manual therapies. Familiarity with care plans for diverse populations such as geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acute care patients. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams. Certification or licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant (or equivalent) is required; ongoing education in physiotherapy practices is preferred.
