Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Chiropractic Assistant/Receptionist, where your energetic and detail-oriented approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the smooth operation of our clinic. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage administrative tasks with precision, and assist with clinical support to ensure exceptional patient care. Duties Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Meditech, or eClinicalWorks Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verifications including Medicare and HIPAA compliance Collect payments, process medical billing, and perform accurate coding using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10 codes, ensuring proper documentation review Maintain organized medical records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Assist chiropractors with clinical tasks such as patient intake, documentation review, and preparing treatment plans or care plans Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, provide excellent patient service, and handle appointment scheduling efficiently using dental or medical office management software like Dentrix or Eaglesoft Support administrative functions including filing, data entry with 10-key typing skills, and managing electronic health information using EMR/EHR systems like Athenahealth or hospital experience tools Experience Prior clinic experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency with medical administrative support including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and billing processes Strong computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft Office applications and health information management systems such as Meditech, Epic, or eClinicalWorks Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and Medicare guidelines to ensure accurate documentation and billing practices Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and clerical experience in a front desk environment Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations Experience working with dental terminology or in a dental clinic environment is advantageous but not required Join us in delivering outstanding chiropractic care by providing exceptional administrative support!
