Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to diverse patient populations. Your expertise will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life across various settings including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, home health environments, and skilled nursing facilities. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing personalized care plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Deliver therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and therapeutic exercises tailored to individual patient needs. Monitor patient progress, document treatment responses, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings through education and follow-up instructions. Provide patient care in various environments such as inpatient units, outpatient clinics, home health visits, and skilled nursing facilities. Maintain detailed records of treatments administered, patient responses, and clinical notes in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care delivery, including coordination with physicians and other healthcare professionals. Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practice. Proficiency in specialized techniques such as trigger point therapy and other manual therapy methods. Experience working in inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, or skilled nursing facilities with a focus on orthopedics and geriatrics. Familiarity with care plans, discharge procedures, and documentation standards for diverse patient populations including pediatrics. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to supporting recovery and mobility improvements. Ability to adapt treatment approaches for acute care scenarios or home health environments as needed. Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
