Luxury Senior Living Communities In Coral Gables, Kendall & Homestead Is looking for Physical Therapist Assistant for its Palace Nursing Home & Rehab Center 11215 SW 84th Street Miami, FL 33173 Joint Commission Accredited, 2015 The #1 Priority of this position is… To provide physical therapy as prescribed by a physician, which can be safely provided in the facility and assisting the physician in evaluating patients by applying diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint and functional abilities test. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist Physical Therapists in carrying out the selected program and procedures. Perform routine treatment procedures in accordance with the planned program. Responsible for record keeping procedures and charting, ensuring confidentiality of all records. Communicate with patient's physician and other healthcare professionals. Qualifications Currently licensed in the State of Florida with at least one year of experience under the supervision of licensed physical therapist. One year of clinical experience preferred. Must have an Associate degree in Physical Therapy or graduated from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written in English. Spanish preferred. Able to operate the necessary equipment. Have supervision and management skills. Must possess adequate ability to calculate necessary percentages for required documentation. The Ideal Candidate Responsible, energetic, punctual, resourceful, very accurate and detail-oriented. Flexible as to work schedule. Must be available to work on weekends, holidays & in emergencies Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task. Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently AND as a team member. Demonstrate excellent verbal communications, interpersonal skills and empathetic listening. Exhibit an enthusiastic and friendly personality that has aptitude for working with a variety of people. #ZR
