The PTA will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care across various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient facilities, skilled nursing facilities, home health, and acute care environments. This role involves assisting in the development and implementation of individualized care plans to promote patient recovery and improve mobility. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology, along with experience in diverse clinical settings such as orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and discharge planning. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in evaluating patient needs and developing personalized treatment plans. Implement therapeutic exercises and modalities tailored to each patient's condition, including trigger point therapy when appropriate. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment interventions accurately. Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility techniques, and injury prevention strategies. Support patients through various stages of recovery in outpatient clinics, inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities, home health visits, and acute care settings. Requirements Valid certification or licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience working in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, home health, or acute care environments. Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to supporting recovery and mobility improvement. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced healthcare settings. Demonstrated understanding of inpatient care procedures and outpatient therapy protocols.
