In this vital role, you'll assist licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional rehabilitative care across inpatient, outpatient, and post-acute settings. Your proactive approach and compassionate attitude will help create a positive environment that promotes healing, mobility, and independence for diverse patient populations. Duties Prepare treatment areas and assist with set-up of therapy equipment to ensure smooth session flow Support physical therapists by positioning patients correctly and applying therapeutic modalities under supervision Monitor patient responses during therapy sessions, noting any discomfort or changes in condition Assist with patient intake procedures, including gathering medical histories and explaining treatment plans Maintain accurate documentation of treatments administered, patient progress, and clinical notes in accordance with hospital protocols Ensure cleanliness and safety of therapy spaces, adhering to infection control standards Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care plans and discharge instructions Skills Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to effectively support therapy sessions Proven experience in patient service and patient care within hospital or clinical environments Familiarity with inpatient, outpatient, acute care, post-acute care, and sub-acute care settings Hands-on experience with orthopedic, geriatrics, hospital medicine, or rehabilitation programs is highly desirable Ability to communicate clearly with patients of all ages and backgrounds while demonstrating empathy and professionalism Knowledge of intake procedures and ability to assist with initial assessments and documentation processes Previous hospital or clinic experience that demonstrates adaptability in fast-paced healthcare environments Embark on a rewarding career journey where your skills contribute directly to patient recovery.
