Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide exceptional patient care across diverse clinical settings on a PRN (as-needed) basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy practices, with the ability to support treatment plans, assist with patient mobility, and contribute to recovery goals. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative services in inpatient, outpatient, home health, or skilled nursing facility environments. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing individualized care plans tailored to patient needs. Support patients through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and mobility activities. Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes or concerns to supervising therapists promptly. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy techniques, discharge instructions, and home exercise programs. Maintain accurate records of treatments administered and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards. Contribute to discharge planning by assessing patient needs and coordinating care transitions effectively. Participate in team meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes. Skills Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and manual therapy methods. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to rehabilitative care. Experience working in inpatient settings such as skilled nursing facilities or acute care units. Familiarity with outpatient clinics, home health services, orthopedics, geriatrics, and pediatrics is highly desirable. Ability to develop and follow care plans tailored to diverse patient populations. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Prior experience in discharge planning and working within multidisciplinary teams enhances service delivery.
