Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality rehabilitative care to diverse patient populations. You will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement personalized treatment plans, assist patients in achieving their recovery goals, and promote optimal mobility and function. This position offers an engaging environment where your skills in physiotherapy and patient care can make a meaningful difference in people's lives across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility settings. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide hands-on therapy techniques including trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises to improve mobility, strength, and function. Monitor patient progress regularly, document responses to treatments, and communicate observations to supervising therapists for plan adjustments. Educate patients and their families on exercises, postural techniques, and injury prevention strategies to support ongoing recovery outside of clinical sessions. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings through education and coordination with multidisciplinary teams. Maintain accurate documentation of treatments administered, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations. Ensure a safe and compassionate environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines during all patient interactions. Requirements Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program is required. Proven experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy. Familiarity with care plans for diverse populations including orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care patients. Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care and discharge planning. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate patients and explain treatment procedures clearly. Prior experience with outpatient therapy or clinic settings that involve orthopedics or sports rehabilitation is a plus. Join us in making a positive impact through dedicated patient care!
