This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population across acute care, skilled nursing, and outpatient settings. The Physical Therapy Assistant will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving patients' strength, mobility, function, and overall independence. The goal is to support recovery and improve quality of life through hands-on rehabilitative care. Key Responsibilities Carry out physical therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist Provide evidence-based interventions focused on strength, balance, mobility, endurance, and functional movement Educate patients, families, and caregivers on exercise programs, safety techniques, and mobility strategies Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including PT, SLP, nursing, and case management to ensure coordinated care Accurately document treatments, progress, and patient responses in the EMR system Assist with discharge planning and recommendations for continued therapy or assistive devices Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support program development within the rehab department Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current Georgia Physical Therapy Assistant license or eligibility for licensure Prior experience in hospital or outpatient settings preferred but not required, new graduates welcome Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills Passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care in rural and community-based settings Job Details and Benefits Job types Full time and Part time Benefits include: 401(k) Dental insurance Disability insurance Employee assistance program Flexible schedule Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account License reimbursement Life insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Referral program Relocation assistance Vision insurance Work location: In person How to Apply To apply, please submit your resume and cover letter detailing your qualifications to Kelsie Boykin at kboykin@bencura.com
