We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a per-diem basis at Canton Center For Nursing and Healing in Canton, Georgia. As a PTA at our center, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and contribute to their rehabilitation journey. Summary of the
Role:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care. Your duties will include assisting with patient evaluations, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and conducting physical therapy treatments. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records, communicating with healthcare team members, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist licensed Physical Therapist with patient evaluations, assessments, and treatments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the Physical Therapist Conduct physical therapy treatments, including modalities, exercises, and other interventions Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care discussions Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment area Meet productivity and quality standards established by the
Physical Therapist Requirements:
Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or related field Completion of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Current certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Minimum of 0 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with electronic medical records and other software systems
