Travel Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Job Description The Outpatient Physical Therapist Assistant will embrace the core values of delivering superior quality care, treating others with respect, being results-oriented, and demonstrating teamwork. The primary focus is on patient and employee safety, ensuring a safe work environment while providing compassionate care. Responsibilities Implement treatment goals, plans, and programs as established by the Physical Therapist. Assist in various therapeutic interventions designed to meet patients' long-term goals, including posture training, strengthening exercises, balance training, and functional skills training. Train patients in locomotion using assistive devices and demonstrate safety awareness and proper techniques. Utilize modalities like whirlpools, hot/cold packs, therapeutic pools, and ultrasound. Monitor patient responses and document progress and sessions accurately. Establish and maintain professional and ethical relationships with patients and team members. Participate in team conferences and special projects aimed at improving patient care. Maintain safety and cleanliness in the treatment area, adhering to infection control protocols. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school. CAPTE certified. 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience is required.
