Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy practices, with experience in inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing facility settings. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient recovery and rehabilitation across various clinical environments, including geriatrics, orthopedics, pediatrics, and home health. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans tailored to patient needs. Provide direct patient care through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and functional training. Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately in accordance with medical terminology standards. Support discharge planning processes by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy routines, injury prevention, and health maintenance strategies. Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment while adhering to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and acute care settings. Skills Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and manual therapy methods. Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy. Experience working with diverse patient populations such as geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and those requiring skilled nursing or home health services. Ability to develop effective care plans aligned with patient goals and clinical best practices. Familiarity with discharge planning procedures within inpatient and outpatient environments. Excellent communication skills for engaging with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Prior clinic experience in outpatient or orthopedic settings is highly desirable. $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
