In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care across diverse settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and acute care units. Your expertise will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' recovery journeys while expanding your clinical skills. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Deliver therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, and modalities to promote healing and functional improvement. Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatment, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings through education and skill-building activities. Maintain accurate patient records, treatment logs, and progress notes in compliance with healthcare regulations. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy techniques, injury prevention strategies, and post-treatment care routines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care across inpatient, outpatient, orthopedic, geriatrics, pediatrics, and home health services. Requirements Valid certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and physiotherapy principles essential for effective patient care. Experience working in inpatient settings or skilled nursing facilities preferred; outpatient clinic experience is also highly valued. Proficiency in specialized techniques such as trigger point therapy and familiarity with discharge planning processes. Strong understanding of orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care environments to tailor treatments appropriately. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining excellent communication skills. Prior experience with home health services or outpatient clinics is advantageous; certification in relevant modalities is a plus.
