Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the PTA will provide patient care and implement treatment plans designed to improve mobility, restore function, reduce pain, and prevent disability resulting from injury, illness, or disease. The Physical Therapist Assistant works collaboratively with the Physical Therapist and healthcare team to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals while delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
Qualifications:
Required Education Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) for PTAs Current Illinois Physical Therapist Assistant License Required Experience Minimum one (1) year of experience in an acute care and/or outpatient setting preferred Responsibilities Carry out treatment plans developed by a licensed Physical Therapist Assist patients with therapeutic exercises to improve strength, flexibility, mobility, and function Provide hands-on therapy techniques including stretching, balance training, and gait training Utilize therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation Monitor patient progress and response to treatment Document treatments, patient progress, and outcomes accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Report changes in patient condition to the supervising Physical Therapist Educate patients and families regarding home exercise programs and injury prevention Prepare treatment areas and maintain therapy equipment Ensure a safe, clean, and organized clinical environment Adhere to all state regulations, hospital policies, and professional standards

$24.00 - $43.68 per hour
