Key Responsibilities:

Deliver physical therapy treatments according to the plan established by the supervising Physical Therapist. Attend and actively participate in patient care meetings and staffing conferences. Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to implement individualized treatment plans. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment techniques and best practices. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment progress. Assist with tests, evaluations, and complex procedures as directed by the supervising therapist. Provide treatments, which may include: Therapeutic exercises Gait and balance training Manual therapy Functional training Use of physical modalities and equipment

Qualifications:

EOE Required Education:

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program Current Illinois PTA licensure (or ability to obtain)

Required Experience:

Experience in implementing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with a rehab team Experience in educating patients, families, and caregivers on treatment techniques Participation in patient care meetings and staffing conferences

Required Skills and Abilities:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in therapy documentation systems (e.g., NetHealth preferred)
