Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapist Assistant, where your expertise will directly enhance patient recovery and well-being. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care across various settings, including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, home health environments, and acute care units. Your hands-on approach and compassionate communication will empower patients of all ages—from pediatrics to geriatrics—to regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for diverse patient populations. Perform therapeutic interventions such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques—including trigger point therapy—and modalities under supervision. Monitor patient progress and document treatment responses accurately in medical records. Educate patients and their families on post-treatment exercises, injury prevention, and health maintenance strategies. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for continued care at home or in other settings. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and home health services. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines during all procedures. Requirements Valid certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with current licensure or registration as required by state law. Demonstrated experience with physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and other manual therapies. Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to rehabilitation practices. Prior experience working in inpatient settings such as skilled nursing facilities or acute care units is highly preferred. Proven ability to develop and follow detailed care plans for diverse patient groups including orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and outpatient populations. Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like clinics or home health settings while maintaining a positive attitude. Pay:
$38.50 - $41.47 per hour
