Your Role as a
PTA:
Provide patient-centered, functional-focused care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist by: Delivering skilled PT treatments per established plan of care Assisting with implementation of individualized treatment plans and functional goals Addressing strength, balance, endurance, mobility, gait, transfers, and safety awareness Providing therapeutic exercise, gait training, transfer training, neuromuscular re-education, and functional mobility interventions Observing and reporting resident progress or changes in condition to the supervising PT and care team Completing timely, accurate, and compliant documentation Educating residents and families on exercises, mobility techniques, fall prevention, and safety as appropriate Assisting with equipment needs and maintaining an organized therapy environment Working efficiently, safely, and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team Remaining flexible with assignments based on resident needs and caseload priorities
What You Need:
Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program Active PTA license in the state of Indiana Skilled nursing or geriatric experience preferred, but not required
