About us Fultz Physical Therapy is a small business in Shreveport, LA. We are professional, agile and our goal is to Provide a comfortable, fun, and fulfilling work environment while we passionately serve those who need us. Fultz PT is locally owned by a single Physical Therapist, so this allows us to create a work environment that is truly employee-centered without being micromanaged. .
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide patient care and assist with therapeutic exercises and treatments. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients and contribute to their rehabilitation journey.- Pay is negotiable, will depend on experience, and can be tailored to fit your individual needs.
Duties:
- Assist in implementing treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Provide hands-on therapy to patients, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for at-home exercises and self-care
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience in various settings such as hospitals, clinics, or rehabilitation centers preferred
- Proficiency in providing patient care, including therapeutic exercises and trigger point therapy
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
