ABOUT THIS REHABILITATION ROLE
The schedule for this Physical Therapy Assistant position consists of 32 hours per week during daytime hours, providing a consistent framework for work-life integration. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will direct implementation of physical therapy treatment plans as prescribed by our Physical Therapists. A key aspect of the role will be instruction in therapeutic exercises and techniques, such as range of motion and ambulation, to ensure consistent and safe support for our young members. Throughout the workday, you will diligently monitor and document the children's progress, providing regular clinical observations to the supervising therapist to inform the ongoing development of treatment strategies. Accurate and timely record-keeping of all therapeutic interventions, including monthly flow sheets and quarterly progress notes, will also be essential for maintaining continuity of care. Furthermore, you may participate in aquatic therapy sessions with the children, which may necessitate physical assistance, including lifting and swimming!

Current licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Professions Valid driver's license Ability to participate in pool activities with individuals, including lifting and swimming as needed Genuine passion for working with children and a commitment to improving their lives Associate of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association.
