Job Description

Lawrence General Hospital Physical Therapy Assistant Lawrence, MA Apply At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $26.37 to $35.49 hourly, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth. The role of the Inpatient Physical Therapy Assistant is to provide and or assist with the care and treatment of patients under direct supervision of a licensed therapist. The Physical Therapy Assistant is also responsible for inventory, cleaning, ordering and tracking of equipment and supplies, and clerical duties and data tracking as assigned. Job duties include preparing therapists daily schedules according to department guidelines for patient prioritization and new eval orders received, assisting staff with patients with ambulation, transfers and positioning, and assesses abnormal conditions by reviewing physical therapists interpretations of patient's evaluations and test results. And perform therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises: instructing, encouraging and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities and daily living activities; and in using supportive devices such as crutches, canes, walkers and prosthetics. Associate of Science Degree at an accredited institution and current Massachusetts licensure required. Previous experience in Acute Care setting and BLS Certification preferred.
