Physical Therapy Assistant ( PTA )

PTA Outpatient Ortho New Bedford MA Full Time/Perm Mon-Thurs (No Weekends) Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to assist in the delivery of high-quality patient care. You will play a crucial role in helping patients regain mobility and improve their overall physical function, contributing to their recovery and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in home health and the ability work independently. Responsibilities Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients with various conditions. Conduct therapy sessions focusing on rehabilitation techniques including trigger point therapy. Monitor patient progress and document outcomes accurately. Educate patients and their families on care plans and exercises to be performed at home. Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-treatment. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Job Details:

Outpatient Ortho Pay Rate:

35-40/hour •Please note- we pay hourly, ensuring drive time is paid in addition to mileage. Schedule-Monday- Thurs NO weekends Experience Previous experience in Outpatient Ortho Preferred- All experience levels encouraged to apply Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to physical therapy practices. Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Experience with home health services is a plus, enhancing the ability to provide effective therapy in diverse environments.
