Physical Therapy Assistant Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Mount Airy Nursing and Rehab in Mount Airy, MD. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our physical therapists to provide high-quality care to our patients under the guidance of a licensed therapist. Our team is committed to serving with pride and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

Assist physical therapists with the implementation and modification of treatment plans Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans under the supervision of a physical therapist Perform various physical therapy treatments, such as exercises, stretches, and modalities Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure excellent patient care and outcomes Participate in patient education and discharge planning

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in physical therapy or related field preferred Minimum 1 year of experience in a physical therapy setting Ability to work effectively as part of a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as necessary Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
