Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to help patients recover from injuries, improve mobility, and enhance their overall physical function. Your expertise in anatomy and physiology, along with your hands-on skills in various therapy techniques, will play a crucial role in the rehabilitation process. Duties As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Assisting physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients. Conducting therapeutic exercises and activities to promote recovery and mobility. Monitoring patient progress and reporting any changes to the supervising physical therapist. Educating patients and their families on home exercise programs and self-care techniques. Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Utilizing knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively within the healthcare team. Providing support in various settings including home health, skilled nursing facilities, inpatient care, and pediatrics as needed.
Experience Ideal candidates will possess:
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices. Familiarity with medical terminology used in clinical settings. Experience or interest in specialized areas such as trigger point therapy, discharge planning, or pediatrics is a plus. Previous experience in home health or skilled nursing facilities is advantageous but not required. A passion for helping others recover from injuries and improve their quality of life through effective rehabilitation techniques.
