MAC Physical Therapy Shift :

Days (630am-5pm), includes intermittent weekend and holidays Hours per biweekly pay period : 80 Works under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist. The physical therapist assistant implements selected components of patient interventions (treatment), obtains data related to the interventions provided, and makes modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient as directed by the physical therapist or to ensure patient safety and comfort.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Implements the individualized plan of care as established by the physical therapist. Assists the physical therapist with managing the established discharge plan throughout treatment. Completes legible, accurate, and clear documentation within the established timeframe identified in the department policy and procedure and in accordance with accreditation requirements and insurance regulations. Communicates with the patient, family, caregivers, significant others, and members of the health care team to promote maximum benefit of care. Identifies educational needs of the patient, family, caregiver, or significant other and provides education to meet those needs. Actively participates in quality improvement activities. Provides an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff. Complies with appropriate and approved safety standards. Performs other related duties as required and directed.

REQUIRED

Graduate of an accredited physical therapist assistant program. Current state Board of Physical Therapist Assistant licensure. BLS certification.

PREFERRED
