Job Description
Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)-
Visit Range :
$45-$55Summary :
Provides and coordinates skilled home care services that reflect the mission, values, philosophy, policies/procedures and standards of care that A&D Health Care Professionals is committed to uphold. Provides and documents client care according to the client's plan of treatment. Communicates to and obtains pertinent information from the Physical Therapist, other clinicians involved in a client's care, the physician and other agencies providing services to a client. Maintains confidentiality. Reports to the Registered Physical Therapist.Qualifications:
1. Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. 2. Minimum of one year experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in a supervised setting. 3. Demonstrated knowledge of home health services and external regulations preferred. 4. Positive, professional interpersonal skills. 5. Meets health and malpractice insurance requirements demanded of all clinical/field staff who provide service through the agency.Essential Job Functions and Physical Requirements:
1. Able to interact successfully with clients, family members, medical profession, long term care facilities, hospitals, other A&D Health Care Professionals employees, and case managers. 2. Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing with superiors, physicians, field staff, office personnel, and clients/families. 3. Must have physical, visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend written/verbal communication and perform accurate assessments. 4. Able to see, hear and use a telephone without the use of extraordinary assistive devices. 5. Must be able to operate an automobile and have access to personal transportation. 6. Able to perform tasks involving physical activity, which may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing. 7. Must possess excellent customer relation skills. 8. Able to report for work on a regularly scheduled basis. 9. Must be able to complete multi-tasks and meet multi-deadlines. 10. Able to work in a stressful environment. 11. Has effective time management skills. 12. Must be able to successfully provide effective team support for both office and field staff. 13. Able to lift / transfer / push / pull up to 80-180 pounds frequently and up to 180-250 pounds infrequently using assistive techniques and devices appropriate to manage the task.Work Environment:
