We need a part-time or full-time, Monday-Thursday, Physical Therapy Assistant interested in manual skills to assist in the care of patients with spine, hip, TMJ, headaches and shoulder issues. Join our dynamic outpatient healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patients' recovery journeys. In this vital role, you will collaborate closely with a licensed physical therapist to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care tailored to each individual's needs. Your dedication will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapist in implementing personalized care plans for outpatient clients, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries, and chronic conditions. Conduct therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and therapeutic exercises to promote healing and mobility. Identify the need for modification of treatment plan and consult with the Physical Therapist. Monitor patient progress, and communicate updates to the Physical Therapist for ongoing care adjustments. Educate patients on home exercises, and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care beyond the clinic. Support patients across various age groups including pediatrics and geriatrics, tailoring approaches based on physiology knowledge and individual needs. Attend Continuing Education courses specific to current position Requirements Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program. New grads welcome to apply. Valid certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant with current licensure or registration as required by state law. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology are essential for assisting in effective treatment plans. Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation standards are necessary for accurate record keeping. Licensed Physical Therapist does 90% of the patient visit documentation. Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively on physiotherapy techniques and discharge instructions. Experience working with Electronic Health Records and basic computer knowledge.
