Job DescriptionWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (Float) to join our team at ARC Physical Therapy +. In this float position, you will have the unique opportunity to support multiple clinics within the region, playing a vital role in delivering high-quality care and ensuring optimal recovery outcomes for our patients.
Assist in assessing patients to develop and initiate treatment plans based on the evaluation resultsFloat between assigned clinics as needed to provide coverage and ensure continuity of care across locations.
Assist in reviewing the physician's referral (prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment requiredProvide direct patient care under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, following established protocols and patient care guidelinesDocument findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregiversSupport in ensuring patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians meets standardsAssist in completing written plans of care, developing goals based on evaluation findings, and contributing to comprehensive programs to attain goalsSupport in implementing physical therapy treatment programs and providing essential physical therapy treatmentsCommunicate effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies, under the guidance of a Physical TherapistAssist in ensuring timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reportsQualificationsAssociate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
