Licensed Physical Therapist/ Physical Therapist Assistant

Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant - Full-Time / Part-Time Mid America Rehab is seeking a full-time or part-time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to work in our Perryville, Missouri clinic. Qualifications:

Education:

applicants must be a graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT)

Licensure:

Must be currently licensed, certified and/or credentialed, as required in the state of Missouri.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

Must have general knowledge of conditions and treatment principles for a diverse number and types of diagnoses. The Physical Therapist Assistant must have excellent organization, time management, and communication skills—both verbal and written

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements:

Patient care may include heavy lifting and extensive bending and standing. Must demonstrate competency in equipment used for the delivery of modalities. Must exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of a physician order, the Physical Therapist Assistant provides direct rehab care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Mid America Rehab standards. Implements a treatment program for patients to improve movement and manage their pain. Ensure patients are meeting their treatment goals in collaboration with the PT, patient, and caregivers, when applicable. Implement the designated treatment plan and complete all related documentation and record keeping regarding these services. Functions under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapists and Clinic Director(s). Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant. Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information. Performs related duties as assigned. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the standards and values of Mid America Rehab Position includes patient care for all ages in outpatient settings, and inpatient and home settings as needed.
