We are seeking a qualified Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Cedar Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide high-quality patient care and therapy services. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
Treat patients as directed by licensed therapists, including: Performing patient care and related activities Maintaining accurate records and documentation Communicating with patients, families, and healthcare team members Demonstrate a positive attitude and team-building approach with patients, families, and staff Assist with cleaning and maintaining the treatment area and department Participate in in-service training programs and continuing education activities Travel or float between facilities as needed Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations
Requirements:
Current registration/licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapist Assistant Maintain documentation of supervision per state guidelines Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday, including walking, stooping, bending, standing, sitting, pushing, pulling, and lifting Ability to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position Possess sight/hearing senses, or use prosthetics that enable these senses to function adequately Function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and ability to work effectively with patients, clients, and team members Be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability Ability to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the facility
Work Conditions:
Work in a well-lighted and ventilated office and therapy area Subject to falls, burns from equipment, infectious diseases, odors, and other hazards May be required to work beyond normal working hours and in other positions temporarily Mobile phone use is only permitted during break and non-paid allocated lunch times
