Responsibilities:

Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic interventions for students with physical disabilities or movement challenges Conduct routine assessments of students physical abilities and progress, documenting results and providing feedback to the supervising Physical Therapist Provide direct support to students during therapy sessions, facilitating exercises and activities aimed at improving mobility, strength, and coordination Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate physical therapy goals into classroom activities and daily routines Monitor student progress and adjust therapeutic interventions as needed, reporting any concerns or changes to the supervising Physical Therapist Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions in compliance with state regulations and school policies

Qualifications:

Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program, with coursework in physical therapy techniques and child development Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant, per state regulations Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and physical therapists Come join a therapist-owned organization that values your expertise and supports you throughout the school year.
