Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. In this vital role, you will support patient recovery and mobility by assisting licensed physical therapists in delivering high-quality physiotherapy services across diverse settings. Your expertise will help improve patient outcomes, promote healing, and enhance overall well-being. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in the home health environment. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing personalized care plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Administer therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and modalities under supervision. Support patient care activities by monitoring progress, providing education on exercises, and ensuring comfort during treatments. Document patient responses, treatment details, and progress notes accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate discharge planning and coordinate ongoing care needs. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards during all procedures. Participate in ongoing training to stay current with physiotherapy techniques, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology. Requirements Valid licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the respective state or region. Proven experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and various physiotherapy modalities. Experience with specialized techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedics treatments. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and managing care plans for diverse patient populations including pediatrics and geriatrics. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams. Skilled in providing patient-centered care with compassion, professionalism, and attention to detail. Pay:
$45.73 - $55.80 per hour
