Physical Therapy Assistant Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing physical therapy treatments. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to implement therapy programs and assist patients in improving their mobility, strength, and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in performing therapeutic exercises and activities with patients 2. Monitor patients' progress and report any changes to the physical therapist 3. Help patients with stretching and flexibility exercises 4. Instruct patients in proper body mechanics and techniques for improving mobility 5. Administer modalities such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation 6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records 7. Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and techniques 8. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care for patients
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program 2. Current certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant 3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills 4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment 5. Knowledge of therapeutic exercise techniques and modalities 6. Physical stamina and strength to assist patients in therapy sessions 7. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills 8.
