Job Description

Category Schools - PTA Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic role where you'll work directly with students to support their physical growth and development in a school-based setting. This contract opportunity enables you to utilize your specialized skills as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) while fostering a positive environment for learning and rehabilitation.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current licensure or eligibility to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in New Jersey Experience working with school-aged children, preferably within educational settings Strong understanding of pediatric therapy techniques and individualized education plans (IEPs) Excellent communication and organizational skills for collaboration with educators, therapists, and families Ability to adapt interventions to various learning and developmental needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist licensed physical therapists in providing comprehensive therapy services to students with physical challenges Collaborate with school staff to deliver therapy that supports educational goals outlined in student IEPs Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and district regulations Engage students in activities designed to maximize mobility, coordination, and independence in the classroom environment Participate in meetings and contribute to student evaluations and progress reports This contract position offers the chance to have a meaningful impact by helping young learners reach their full physical potential.
