Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care to diverse patient populations across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility settings. Your expertise will help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and improve their overall quality of life through tailored therapy interventions. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized care plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and acute care cases. Provide hands-on therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and physical therapy modalities to promote healing and pain relief. Monitor patient progress, document treatment responses, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist to refine care strategies. Educate patients and their families on exercises, mobility techniques, and discharge planning to support continued recovery at home or in outpatient settings. Perform patient care activities including assisting with mobility exercises, transfers, and functional training within inpatient or outpatient environments. Maintain accurate medical terminology records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards. Support discharge planning efforts by coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient transitions between care settings. Qualifications Valid certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with current licensure or registration as required by state law. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy practices. Hands-on experience with physical therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation. Familiarity with care plans for diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and patients recovering from surgery or injury. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams involved in discharge planning and patient care coordination.
