Open Until Filled Position Summary:
We're looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who's passionate about early childhood development and making a real difference. You'll help children reach their physical potential through individualized therapy programs and age-appropriate techniques. This is more than a job—it's a mission!
Key Responsibilities:
Support implementation of personalized therapeutic plans under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist Assist in helping children improve motor function and physical capabilities Provide center-based and home-based services Maintain accurate documentation and participate in required training Work professionally with colleagues, families, and interdisciplinary teams Support a positive and inclusive environment for all children and families Travel locally/statewide as needed to deliver services Follow all safety, health, and documentation procedures
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Associate degree from an accredited
Physical Therapy Assistant Program Licenses/Certifications:
License or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant with the
New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department:
New Mexico Physical Therapy Board and work under the supervision of a licensed PT.
Background Checks:
✔️ General Background Check ✔️ NM Department of Health Fingerprinting ✔️ Driving Record (MVR) (Other federal-level clearances not required for this position) ✅
