Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team in Rochester, NY. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to help patients recover from injuries and illnesses. You will assist with exercises, modalities, and other treatments as directed by the physical therapist. Your role will be critical in helping patients achieve optimal outcomes and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to assist with patient evaluations, treatments, and education Administer therapeutic exercises, modalities, and other treatments as directed by the physical therapist Document patient progress and communicate with the physical therapist to ensure effective treatment plans Help patients learn exercises and activities of daily living to improve their functionality and independence Educate patients and families on injury prevention and proper body mechanics Assist with maintaining equipment and supplies

Qualifications and Skills:

Associates degree from a physical therapy assistant program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) Current certification or licensure in the state of New York Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
