Job Description

Physical Therapist Assistants Wanted! Highest Rates Paid! Home Advantage Physical Therapy seeks multiple Physical Therapist Assistants to make home therapy visits in throughtout Nassau and Suffolk counties. We have provided personalized quality therapy in patients' homes since 2008, treating adult clients in their homes and assisted living facilities, who may have mobility issues which make it too difficult to attend a traditional outpatient setting, or who may simply prefer the one on one expertise delivered right to them. Our clients do not have to be "homebound" to receive our services, and we treat adults with a wide variety of orthopedic, general medical, cardiopulmonary and neurological conditions . Our leadership is extremely accessible to provide support to both our clients and therapists. Fee for Service pay at high rates. Flexible hours.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist the physical therapist in providing treatment to patients
  • Implement therapeutic exercises and activities as directed by the physical therapist
  • Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions
  • Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Provide support and encouragement to patients throughout their therapy sessions
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
  • Experience working in a hospital or acute care setting is preferred
  • Familiarity with occupational health practices and protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
