Job Description

Job Summary Caregiver Pro Homecare, Inc. is a New York State Licensed Home Care Services Agency serving clients across all five boroughs and Nassau County. We are seeking a licensed, multilingual Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) fluent in both English and Bengali (বাংলা) to deliver in-home physical therapy services to our predominantly subcontinental client base. This role requires strong clinical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team in both languages. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing personalized care plans for patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Perform therapeutic procedures such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and other modalities to alleviate pain and improve function. Monitor patient progress, document responses to treatments, and communicate updates to the supervising therapist. Educate patients and their families on physiotherapy exercises, discharge planning, and injury prevention strategies. Support patients during mobility activities in various settings such as inpatient units, outpatient clinics, or home health visits. Maintain accurate medical terminology records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans for complex cases involving orthopedics, acute care, or specialized populations like pediatrics or geriatrics. Requirements Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) from an accredited program; current licensure or registration as required by local regulations. Fluency in Bengali; excellent communication skills in English are also preferred. Proven experience working in inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient clinics, or home health environments. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques, including trigger point therapy. Familiarity with discharge planning processes and care coordination for diverse patient populations. Experience with orthopedic rehabilitation, geriatrics, pediatrics, and care plan development is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and demonstrate compassionate patient care. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
