Job Description
The physical therapist assistant (PTA) of Vitality Article 16 clinic is responsible for evaluation and implementation treatment PT services as ordered by the physical therapist (PT) in the treatment plan for people with developmental disabilities (OPWDD). The PTA writes independent progress notes works under supervision of the PT, who reviews and signs off on the progress notes. The incumbent serves as a member of the Art16 clinical team and provides services as such is scheduled for the workflow of the clinic. The candidate will help each client to progress towards short-term and long -term goals to reach their full potential.
Job description:
Reviews and discusses the treatment plan regarding physical therapy services provided as designed by the overseeing PT. Executes appropriate therapeutic programs using standardized PT modalities in response to individual need with good professional judgment. Show competency in technical skills as required for good clinical performance. Maintain a caseload of physical therapy service recipients as provided in weekly schedule Monitor and record progress note of each service provided within 48hr of date of service. Monitoring will be done as required by OPWDD regulations and/or Agency policy and documented in electronic health records (EHR). Participates as a member of the clinic's quality assurance team in conducting peer- to-peer chart reviews and other internal monitoring activities to ensure quality of care and compliance with regulatory and agency policies and practices. Document care as prescribed by law and in accordance with best practices with up to date knowledge of standard of care for physical therapy. Use of an electronic health record system to track appointments, document sessions, and review treatment plans created by PT supervisor.Responsibilities:
