Job Description

Position Overview The Front Desk Receptionist/Chiropractic Assistant serves as the initial point of contact for patients and visitors at our chiropractic office. This dual-role position combines administrative duties with direct patient support, ensuring efficient clinic operations and a welcoming environment. The individual in this role is responsible for managing front desk activities, assisting the chiropractor with clinical tasks, and maintaining excellent patient relations. Key Responsibilities and Duties Patient Reception and Communication Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a positive first impression. Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls appropriately. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using the clinic's management software. Collect necessary patient information, verify insurance details, and update records as needed. Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures efficiently. Administrative and Clerical Duties Manage patient charts and confidential files, ensuring HIPAA compliance. Process payments, issue receipts, and maintain accurate financial records. Prepare daily and weekly reports as required by management. Handle mail, correspondence, and other office communications. Clinical Assistance Prepare treatment rooms for patients, ensuring cleanliness and readiness. Escort patients to examination rooms. Support the chiropractor with therapies as directed (e.g., applying stim, setting up equipment). Customer Service Address patient questions and concerns promptly and courteously. Facilitate a welcoming, professional, and supportive atmosphere in the office. Follow up with patients regarding appointments, treatment plans, and wellness programs. Office Organization Maintain a clean and organized reception area and common spaces. Ensure timely sanitization of treatment rooms and equipment after each use. Assist in organizing marketing materials, community outreach, and patient education resources. Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education or certification preferred. Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role is highly desirable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Proficiency with office technology, scheduling software, and electronic health records (EHR) systems. Professional, compassionate demeanor with strong interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. Working Conditions Primarily work at the front desk in a clinical environment. May require standing for extended periods, occasional lifting of supplies or equipment, and assisting patients physically.
