Our client is a Columbus-based skilled home care agency that is focused on its staff and providing best-of-industry care to its patients. The company and team are growing quickly and are urgently looking to fill multiple PTA positions. These are full-time positions with an expected volume of 35 visits per week. At $42 to $45 per visit, annual compensation is approximately $76,000 to $81,000. Benefits and mileage reimbursement are also included. You will enjoy flexible scheduling, and a supportive work environment focused on employee and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be focused on patient care, well-organized, flexible, comfortable using a computer, and possess excellent communication & customer service skills.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an approved physical therapy assistant curriculum and currently licensed to practice as a PTA. Able to successfully pass a BCI Background check in compliance with State requirements.
Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the physical therapist, assists in evaluation and development of the rehabilitative care plan and in periodic re-evaluation as indicated. As directed by the physical therapist, performs routine strengthening and therapeutic exercises. Assists in teaching exercise programs to the client and family. Consults with the physical therapist regarding the outcome of home visits and reports physical findings in written form. Assists clients in use of self-help devices. Attends care conferences and Agency meetings as necessary. Documents daily progress notes on clients and submits them weekly. Communicates effectively to all those providing client care.
Functional Abilities:
Must be able to read 12 point type or larger. Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in a manner understood by most persons. Must be able to stoop, bend and be able to lift and transfer clients. Must be able to travel to client's residences.
Special requirements:
Must have a reliable car, car insurance and a valid driver's license.
