Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy practices, with a focus on patient-centered care across diverse settings. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist in patient recovery, and promote optimal mobility and function. Responsibilities Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to patient needs. Provide direct patient care across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility environments. Perform therapeutic interventions including trigger point therapy, manual therapy techniques, and mobility exercises. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately in medical records. Educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention, and recovery strategies to support ongoing health. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for transition to home or other care settings. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. Experience Prior experience working in inpatient or outpatient physiotherapy settings is highly desirable. Skilled nursing facility experience or home health care background is preferred. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices. Familiarity with physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation. Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in acute care or clinic environments. Experience developing or contributing to care plans for diverse populations including geriatrics and pediatrics. Strong understanding of discharge procedures and collaboration with healthcare providers for seamless patient transitions. Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
