  • 4:30 PM | 2 weekend Days per month Atrium Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Inpatient Rehab/Acute team.
This role supports the delivery of high-quality rehabilitative care in accordance with our mission to improve the health and quality of life of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the Physical Therapist to discuss patient progress and changes in condition. Promptly communicate updates in patient status and coordinate timely consultations. Follow established treatment plans and consult the Physical Therapist before making any changes. Deliver patient care based on evaluation findings and reassessments. Complete all documentation accurately and within required timeframes. Meet departmental productivity standards. Delegate appropriate responsibilities to support staff. Participate in interdisciplinary case management for patient care coordination. Support day-to-day operations through non-clinical tasks and efficient work habits. Engage in hospital, departmental, or community-based programs or meetings. Assist with the training, orientation, supervision, and mentorship of new staff, students, volunteers, and observers as needed.
Qualifications:
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program required. Must hold current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Ohio. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire Strong communication and analytical skills to effectively carry out treatment plans, recognize changes in patient condition, and adapt interventions as needed. Demonstrates professionalism through initiative, dependability, teamwork, and clear verbal and written communication. Adheres to the APTA Code of Ethics and maintains high standards of ethical and professional conduct.
