Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), you will work under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist to provide therapeutic treatment and rehabilitation services to patients. You will assist in implementing treatment plans, tracking patient progress, and educating patients on proper exercise techniques and home care.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Assist in performing therapy exercises and modalities as prescribed by the physical therapist 2. Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment 3. Educate patients on proper techniques to improve mobility, strength, and flexibility 4. Assist in preparing treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions 5. Follow instructions and guidelines from the physical therapist to ensure patient safety and comfort 6. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive care for patients 7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records 8. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during therapy sessions

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution 2. Valid PTA licensure or certification in the state of practice 3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills 4. Ability to work effectively in a team environment 5. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic techniques 6. Physical stamina and dexterity to assist patients with exercises and activities 7. Attention to detail and accuracy in documenting patient progress 8.
