Physical Therapy Assistant Job Summary:
As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide rehabilitation services to individuals with injuries or illnesses. You will assist with implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient progress, and educating patients on exercises and therapeutic techniques.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist physical therapists in assessing patient needs and developing treatment plans. 2. Perform therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the physical therapist. 3. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. 4. Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities of daily living. 5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. 6. Assist with scheduling appointments and billing procedures. 7. Contribute to a positive and supportive atmosphere for patients during their rehabilitation process. 8. Keep treatment areas clean and organized. 9. Attend meetings and training sessions to stay current on best practices in physical therapy.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program. 2. State licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant. 3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 4. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. 5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 6. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. 7. Ability to lift and move patients as needed. 8.
