Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at The Gardens at Stevens . In this role, you will work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to help residents improve mobility, restore function, and enhance overall quality of life within a skilled nursing facility setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy treatments in accordance with established care plans Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, and functional activities Monitor and document patient progress and report changes to the Physical Therapist Maintain accurate and timely treatment records Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support resident care goals Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all residents Educate residents and families on therapy techniques and care plans
Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted PTA license in the state of Pennsylvania Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation setting preferred Strong understanding of therapy practices and patient care techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
