Physical Therapist Assistant -

SJH Summary:

Under the direction of the physical therapist, performs patient care activities in conjunction with the plan of care, including but not limited to; gait training, balance training, therapeutic exercises, modalities and patient education. Documents in medical record. Treats patients of all ages including adolescents, adults and geriatric patients.

Education:

Associate Degree in an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.

Licensure:

Licensed in the State of RI as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Access to reliable transportation in order to service off-site locations.

Experience:

One year experience preferred.

• Ability to work cooperatively with peers and other disciplines
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with peers and other interdisciplinary teams.

Visual acuity and hand dexterity. Physical ability involves variety of body movements including stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting, standing, walking, twisting, stretching and reaching. Physical ability involves pushing, pulling and lifting more than 30 lbs
